Lunch and Group Tours

In addition to our free tours offered every Sunday from 11am - 4pm, KKJ offers private guided tours for groups and individuals by special appointment during the week. For only $25 per person (minimum 10 - maximum 48) a lunch group receives a complete private tour of the synagogue and museum, personally led by our Museum Director. The tour includes the screening of a short documentary film telling the story of Romaniote Jews. After the tour a group completes its immersion in Romaniote history and culture with a traditional Greek-Jewish kosher lunch, consisting of Greek salad, dolmades (yaprakes), bourekas, koulouria, seasonal fruit, and traditional Greek Music. Special weekday tours can also be arranged for school and university groups.

The estimated time of the complete tour of our sanctuary, museum, short film, and lunch, is 3 hours. It is recommended to allow time for our gift shop, which includes one of the largest collection of books on Greek Jewry in the world. The lunch/tour package must be arranged in advance. If interested, please reach out to our Museum Director, Marcia Haddad Ikonomopolous, at museum@kkjsm.org for more information.
