Public Lectures and Film Screenings

KKJ is proud to host a variety of public lectures and film screenings on Romaniote, Sephardic, and Jewish topics. Previous events have included a book signing by US Colonel Jack Jacobs (Ret.) who is a Romaniote born and raised in New York and a current consultant for NBC/MSNBC News, a lecture by Professor Devin Naar of the Sephardic Studies Program at the University of Washington, and the screening of The Last Greeks on Broome Street, a documentary by Ed Askinazi on the history of Kehila Kedosha Janina and the Romaniote Jews of the Lower East Side. If you are interested in learning more about our upcoming events, lectures, or film screenings, contact our Museum Director at museum@kkjsm.org.
